For Public Interest Subjects

About myself and this website:

I am a retired Additional Chief Electrical Engineer from Indian Railways.Now I  live in Chennai and am a free-lance Consultant to Small Scale Industry.I have interest in a variety of subjects such as Carnatic music,Consumer problems,Fight Against Corruption and social evils etc.This web -site will be used for such Public Interest subjects.I have no products to sell or business to promote.

As a college student  in Thiruvananthapuram during 1945-47 I had taken part in the Freedom movement and struggle against the Dewan's autocracy and attempt to declare Travancore an independent state.This had put my education and merit scholarship in jeopardy.I look back with pride on this period of my life.

I do not now subscribe to any 'isms' in politics,but judge each issue on its merits.My love for my country is not narrow parochialism,but part of my Worldview.

I have great respect for others' beliefs and opinions and have trained myself to be restrained in expression of my views.

Rabindranath Tagore's immortal verse quoted on the index page has been the inspiration all my life.It is for these ideals that young men and women like me had thrown ourselves into the Freedom movement. I do know that getting rid of the many evils in our Public life is an uphill task.However, a small step forward is for each person committed to high values to strictly observe such values in all his/her dealings.

As Secretary of Divyadhwani,a Carnatic music organization founded by my wife,Seetha Narayanan, a well-known Vocalist in Carnatic music and Hindi bhajans, I have promoted another web- site:Divyadhwani.Those interested in Carnatic music are invited to visit that site which has many interesting items such as Questions and Answers, Articles,Divyadhwani News,Quiz  etc
