'Bharat Mail'- a useful service
There are many websites offering free delivery of messages and letters from overseas residents to addresses in India.During my visits to other countries I have found Bharatmail very good and reliable.An overseas resident has to open a 'letterbox' at the site.Thereafter he can send letters via the bharatmail website to any address in India, which will be printed and sent by post free to any address in India.Any letters, even postcards in any language marked for the 'letterbox' and sent to bharatmail's Chennai address will be scanned and sent to the overseas resident.
'Bharatmai' has many other services.I had extensively used their free service when in USA this year and am including this link out of gratitude for them.
