Introduction to PowerBuilder...
                PowerBuilder is an object-oriented graphical application development tool that allows you to
                build powerful, multitier applications to run on multiple platforms and to interact with various
                databases. PowerBuilder provides all the tools you need to build industrial-strength applications,
                such as order entry, accounting, and manufacturing systems.
                PowerBuilder is one of a group of Sybase products that together provide the tools to develop
                client/server, distributed, and Internet applications.
                PowerBuilder is frontier among all the front end tools because of the functionality and flexibility
                it provides for graphical application development.

Features of PowerBuilder...
            a. PowerBuilder applications are event driven. Here you write scripts using  PowerScript ,
                the PowerBuilder language. Scripts consist of PowerScript commands, functions, and statements
                that perform processing in response to an event.
            b. PowerBuilder supports cross platform development. For example, you can develop an application
                using PowerBuilder under Windows (either Windows 95 or  Windows NT) and deploy the very same
                application without changeson a Windows 3.1, Macintosh, or UNIX machine.
            c. PowerBuilder includes a number of tools that let you build web-based applications and extend
                 your existing applications to the Internet.
            d. Recent versions of PowerBuilder tool comes  with PowerBuilder Foundation Class Library (PFC).
                PFC is a set of PowerBuilder objects that you customize and use to develop class libraries. You can
                use these objects to provide corporate, departmental, or application consistency. PFC also includes
                objects that you use as is for utility purposes such as debugging and tracing.
