FAMILY BACKGROUND

The FAMILY OF AMCO SHOPPE is one of the oldest Bengali inhabitants of Patna since the year 1879. They had 3 petrol pumps initially and was the same automobile house who was offered the dealership of 'Mahindra & Mahindra' first, for Bihar. They also had the only leading organised garage that time. Late Pyare Mohan Sen was the Deputy Magistrate of patna those days, who was among the 1st generation of this 'SEN FAMILY'. His sons were well known Doctors,Automobile Engineers,Magistrates & Professors. His grandson, Late Rakhal Sen ,was the 1st Automobile Engineer of Bihar from England. He was offerd tbe dealership of Mahindra & Mahindra first. His son Mr. Alok Sen Gupta(4th Generation) at present is the owner of two Petrol Pumps in the heart of Patna. Mr. Alok's son , Mr. Arpan is at present looking after the EXIDE & SF Battery dealership namely M/s Battery Centre(Patna). The Cousin brother of late Rakhal Sen, and son of late Dr. B.K. Sen, Mr. Swapan Sen is at present the Area Manager of M/s Talbros Automotive Components Limited, Faridabad since the last 29 years, who was looking after the entire Eastern Region of the Company's Sales & Marketing from Calcutta. Later he took transfer to Patna. He is in the Automobile segment for the last 35 years having vast knowledge of the trade. His two sons Mr. Saibal Sen Gupta and Mr. Saikat Sen Gupta (5th Generation) are looking after M/S AMCO SHOPPE since the year 1993, i.e. from Day one. The family of MR. Alok Sen (M/s Battery Centre) and Mr. Swapan Sen (M/s Talbros) is looking after AMCO SHOPPE jointly. Other than this AMCO SHOPPE is also looked after and guided by all the veterans of the 'Sen family' and it is also 'The first computerised battery service centre in eastern India'. Mr. Saibal, a Economics Graduate from Patna University had done Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Mr. Saikat, Patna University topper in Graduation (Geology Hons.), is presently doing M.Sc. from Patna University in the same subject. He is the incharge of the Computer Section of AMCO SHOPPE. He also looks after the Cultural and Education cell and the 'Amco Shoppe Customer Research Cell' of AMCO SHOPPE. He is also the Organising Secretary and Quiz Master of the much talked about yearly 'All BIHAR AMCO SHOPPE QUIZ CONTESTS' for the last 3 years. Not only this Mr. Saikat is the person who had introduced the first of its kind 'Free Telephone Reminding Battery Service' (reminding service customers by telephone once in a month, who are very busy) which saw tremendous response and an instant hit among the customers thus increasing the customer base. The brothers don't think customers as king, but queen, because they feel even king is loyal to her Queen and provides her the best of all service at all time. Their future plans include 'Mobile Battery Service' for visiting the remotest places in Patna and nearby towns and providing free service suitably in a Maruti van. After doing all these innovative schemes successfully in the battery trade, AMCO SHOPPE is visited by 45-50 customers (both 2-wheelers & 4-wheelers) each and every day for Free Service. Alongwith free service of the battery, they educate them about the product and check all types of electrical problems of the vehicles. In a nutshell, the service of AMCO SHOPPE is now talk of the town. For this, all credit goes to all the members of the SEN FAMILY.
