How to get motivated?
You are special & unique!

Sometimes we feel so discouraged and depressed that we lose all interest in life. This condition may persist till someone comes along and says or does something to 'motivate' us to go on with life notwithstanding our feelings. But for some people if there is no one to motivate at such critical times they may even end their lives! Such is the importance of 'motivation' in everybody's life.
Motivation is an integral part of our daily life. Because everyone needs motivation. Only the source of motivation and the level of motivation may differ from person to person.
But where do we get the motivation when we are in need of it? Here's an examle from real life experience of one of the greatest heros and statesmen of ancient history-Moses.

Let us learn some principles from this story of how a reluctant Moses was motivated by God Almighty to bring the people of Israel out of Egypt as recorded in Exodus 3:1-18, 4: 14-16.(Holy Bible).

Divine Motivation for Moses:
Here we see how God convinces Moses to commit to something that Moses does not want to do-lead the people of Israel out of Egypt. God did not focus on Moses' control points-fleshly desires or sinful pride-but rather on Himself and His own glory.

1.Through His (God's) Promises:(3:8,12,17-18). Understanding the character of God-His faithfulness, honesty and absolute holiness- discover that His promises are towers of strength to take refuge. Study and meditate on how God's promises apply in a practical and relevant way.and you will get motivated to do what you think is His purpose for your life.

2. By giving concrete and attainable goals: (4:15-17). He told exactly what He wanted him to accomplish. To be sure of what to do and to set clear goals helps you get motivated to accomplish great things in life.

3.Gave specific instructions about how to accomplish these goals: (3:14-22).It is necessary to make plans and programs with proper priorities to achieve the goals you have set. You need to be specific and make plans to do something everyday towards fulfilling your goals. And you will be motivated to get up and go on to achieve those goals..

4.Showed him evidences of divine power: (4:1-8). Through the miracles of the rod in his hand and his hand in the bossom, God assured Moses of His power to do what He said.Sometimes, we need a vision of God's great power from His Scriptures or a personal experience, to motivate us to attempt great things in life.As you focus on God's unlimited power and ability to accomplish, even the impossible, you will get motivated.

5.By redirecting his focus: (4:10-12).God directed his outlook from human inadequacy to divine sufficiency. God affirmed to Moses the divine ability to overcome any human deficiency. Yes, when we turn our focus away from our inadequacy and inability towards Him, we will be motivated.By affirming, we can do all things through Him who strengthens us, we can really go on with life's tough situations with great joy & hope.(Phil.4:13).

6.By a description of God's character and plan: (3:15-18).Assured Moses of His divine presence and help. Living in the awareness of God's presence with us and His help, available always for all our needs, enables us to move on to accomplish what we planned. His angels encamp round those who fear Him and we can approach His throne of grace in time of need that we may obtain mercy and help.(Ps.34:7; Heb.4:16).

7.God provided someone to help: (4:14-16).He sent Aaron to speak for Moses. He will send someone to encourage and motivate you.He has His chosen people to care for one another and to motivate one another. You are not alone and you will not be left alone to fend for yourself. You will be lifted high and made to stand on the Rock. So, be encouraged. Be motivated. You are unique and Your time is NOW!

"Let us consider one another in order to stir up (motivate for) love and good works, exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day (of Christ's return & end)approaching."
(Hebrews 10: 24,25).
