Some secrets to Abundance
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When you face financial adversity it is wise to keep the following truths in mind and take necessary steps to overcome or go through the crisis successfully.
1. A crisis is a signal for me to learn, not lose.
2. It is not a sin to have a need in my life. On the other hand, my need is an indication to change something in my life.
3. There is always a reason for my lack. Six Bible reasons for poverty are:
  • an unteachable spirit:....................................... Proverbs 13: 18.
  • laziness:...........................................................Proverbs 24: 33,34.
  • Ignorance:...................................................... Prov. 24:4, Hosea 4: 6.
  • Oppressing the poor:...................................... Prov. 22: 16,22.
  • Misfortune:.................................................... 1Kings 17.
  • Withholding:................................................... Prov. 11:24-26.
  • 4. God will vary His methods of supply.
    5. Sometimes God will remove any visible sources of supply to maintain my dependency upon Him.
    6. He sometimes uses the illogical and the unlikely to supply my needs. e.g. He fed Elijah through crows & widow at the time of famine!1Kings 17: 4, 9; 19:5.
    7. God will not ask me for something I do not have. God will ask me for something I hang onto. e.g. He asked Abraham to give his only son Isaac as a sacrifice. Gen.22:2.
    8. My supply for tomorrow can start with whatever I have in my hand today: God's laws of sowing and reaping. (Gen. 1:11,12,21,24,25; Gal. 6:7). Every one has something to give. e.g. Even the poor widow had two coins to give: Luke 21: 4.
    **The world gives to get; God's people get to give.*****
    9. Circumstances do not control a godly man's supply. My expectations and my words affect my supply.
    10. When I let go of what is in my hand, God will let go of what is in His hand.
    **God does not supply money to satisfy our every whim and desire. His promise is to meet our needs and provide an abundance so that we can help other people.**
    "It is when we accept this principle that God will multiply our abundance as well." Be encouraged.
    The Lord Jesus said: "..I am come that they (His sheep) might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10: 10.
    "And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work." 2Corinthians 9: 8.Amen.
