About myself:

Born in Jaipur, Rajasthan, I'm the youngest in a family of four. I've been greatly encouraged by my parents, my older siblings, my husband and his family to do better in life.

I'm an IT professional. I'm working in NIIT, Chennai (Madras). I have been on long leave to stay in Japan and joined back in October. My present assignment is interesting and challenging.

 General Interests:

I also have a keen interest in learning new languages. I am proficient in Hindi, English and I'm familiar with at least 6 other Indian languages (Marwari, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada and Tamil).

Among foreign languages I know Deutch (German) and Nihongo (Japanese).

I also like to chat with people - specially those from different background than mine and who are open minded.

My interest in Music is varied ranging from Rajasthani folk to Hindustani Classical to Bach to Jimi hendrix to Metallica to ....its a long list. My latest craze is 'Zen' meditational prayers and some other Buddhist religious music I don't know the name.

Readings on japan

Reading I read a lot - anything that's interesting, informative or funny - but No bestsellers and no thrillers. Of late I've been reading a lot about Japan and also English translations of famous Japanese literary novels.

For the reviews of the books I have read recently click here. I wouldn't advise you to click if you don't have an interest in Japan.
