 This is an attempt by Creation (Architects) to reintroduce to the common man the Vastu concept already known to scholars in India and abroad including professionals, architects and interior designers, industrialists and businessmen contributing much to the revival of this great Indian science.

SELECTION OF SITE

Slope|Size

The first object of a building, the ground, should receive more consideration than the other objects. Therefore, the following basic guidelines should be carefully observed:

 DIRECTIONAL ALIGNMENT:

The geometrical axis of the plot should be properly aligned with the axis of the earth's magnetic field i.e. one set of boundaries of a plot should be parallel to the north-south axis and the other set of boundary lines should be parallel to east-west axis.

If, the boundary lines are not parallel to the magnetic axis, such land is poor for overall growth, peace and happiness.

SLOPE OF LAND SURFACE :

  • The land should be elevated towards the South and West sides and it should be lower in North and East sides for overall growth and happiness.   Slope

  • If the Land is - high in the North or East directions, it causes financial losses or can damage the prospectus of the owner's sons or male children.
  • If  low in the South-East direction, it causes financial loss, ill-health, short life, sorrow & loss due to fire.
  • If  low in the southern direction, it causes illness and short life.
  • If  low in the south-west direction, it causes loss due to theft and unwanted expenses, illness and short life.
  • If  low towards the West, it causes sorrow/unhappiness, financial loss, defamation and is not good for son's health or growth.
  • If low in the North-West direction, it causes financial loss and mental unrest.
  • If low in the Centre, it causes various troubles.

SIZE OF SITE :

Square site:

If the ratio of two adjacent sides of a site is 1:1 and every corner is a 900angle, it is called a square and is best for overall growth.

Measurement of all sides should be equal in measurement and every corner should be 900.

Rectangular Site:

If the ratio of width and depth of a site is within 1:1.5 and all corners are of 900, it is also good for growth.

If the depth is more than twice the width, the site becomes weaker for growth.
