I
have been expanding and growing under the banner of Fractal
ink. My company is now 3 designers strong. I also collaborate/hire
and work with various technicians and programmers as are necessary
from project to project. One of my recent projects was to develope
a web site - www.onestopcarshop.com
for a client in the United Kingdom. I developed a CD-ROM on
Quality Value for the Taj group of hotels using the best of
video and computer technology. I am also working on a web site
for Rockspar, a jewelry shop for the US market. Another interesting
project that I have been working on is the development of cell
phone simulators for the BPL
mobile network, using Macromedia Director and Flash. |
| 1997-98 |
I started a new company "Fractal Ink" Interactive
Solutions. Retained as a Design Consultant by United
Television, Rave computers,
Stem computers and Webware
technologies.
I learned
many new skills and honed some that I already had. How to
run a business, getting clients, client servicing and managing
employees were some of the new issues that I learned to deal
with. I acquired an in depth understanding of the web and
new media, different aspects of Information Architecture and
Navigation.
Worked
on various web site designs in alliance with other web developers
and programmers.

I
won and completed my first web related projects in this period.
I worked on freelance projects for Indiaworld,
Rave technologies, Telco
, Siemens. etc. I designed the logo and icons for India's
first portal site- www.Indiaworld.co.in.
I also did Multimedia presentations for various clients. |
| 1994-95 |
Parted
ways with Illusion to pursue a career in new media. Worked at
Credence Sound & Vision Ltd. - a broadcast video
& animation facility in Bombay. I designed
titles and animations for various TV serials and advertisements.
Acquired hands on experience on a Silicone Graphics workstation. |
| 1993-94 |
Started
a company called Illusion films & Computer Animation
with two colleagues from college. Designed
3d animations and produced ad films for various clients. Designed
one of the first 'Touch screen' based Interactive Kiosks in
India. |
| 1992-93 |
Worked
for Multimedia Information Systems Pvt .Ltd.,
Bombay as an Interface Designer. Worked
on the interface design of an Electronic Parts Catalog and a
Medical Imaging System. |
| 1991-92 |
Partner
in The Moving Pixels Company in Ahmedabad, India. Helped
in setting up a Computer animation studio and ran it for 6 months.
I also Trained a person to take over and run it since I needed
to spread my wings. |
