The Group Gitanjali Multilingual Literary Circle, was established in April 1995 by Dr Krishna Kumar and Mrs Chitra Kumar.

 

The Aim

 

To create cohesion and better understanding between people of all ages of the host community and people of Indian sub-continent through language , culture and religion.

 

The Name

  

The group is named, Gitanjali, in the loving memory of a young budding poetess Gitanjali who sadly died of Cancer at a tender age of sixteen.  She left behind a number of very sensitive poems in English language, describing, Life, Pain,Suffering, Death, and God in a number of ways.
