Gitanjali Multilingual Literary Circle

Gitanjali Multilingalual Literary Circle (Gitanjali), is a non-profit non-government organisation engaged in multilingual literary activites, in its widest possible sense, to include multicultural and multi-faith activities. Its founder Dr Krishna Kumar, graduated from IIT Madras, India, in 1965, is a PhD in Microwave Semiconductors and is a renowned scientist. He has a number of research papers to his credit in the fields of Microwave Semiconductor Devices, Bone Healing, Anesthessia Monitoring, Quality Control and Reliability Management and its applications. He is highly respected thinker and Hindi Poet in the UK and India. He suitably combines his scientific knowledge with his literary pursuit. He has published three anthologies of poems in Hindi and edited a number of anthologies of multilingual poems with their translations in English. One bilingual book, in Hindi and English, on 'Themes for Today' is in the press. He passionately feels for Integration of Global Indians and Integration of all Indian Languages. To spread his Ideas Dr. Kumar took and early retirement from his University postions in August 2004. Its co-founder Mrs Chitra Kumar, an M.A from Punjab University and Co-editor of a collection of short stories by women writers of the UK. She looks after the group to ensure its smooth running. She is regarded, by members of the group, s the solid pillar on which the group stands. She retired as teacher in 1995. Please click here for Gitanjali Team details.
