This was the first ISECT Conference in the new millennium, and we had a record attendance of over 160 Perfusionists from all over the country. The organizing committee scored a first by inviting two Perfusionists from abroad as guest speakers. This 'international touch' was appreciated by all the delegates. Another feather in our cap was a separate C.M.E. for Perfusionists.

The scientific (trade) exhibition featured the various equipment and disposables used during cardiovascular surgery. It gave the delegates an opportunity to see what is new and to interact with representatives of the manufacturers. 

Highlights of the 'ISECT Millennium 2000 Conference' are featured in the " Programme At a Glance".

All in all the Conference proved to be an exciting event of the New Millennium.

The next annual conference of ISECT is scheduled for February 2001 in the 'CITY OF JOY' - Calcutta.
