A full scale engineering and fabricating unit, the Growth Shop manufactures E.O.T. cranes, rolling mill fabrications, gears and other equipment.

Stamp-charging technology which was adopted for the first time in India at Tata Steel's coke ovens in Jamshedpur and installed indiginously, considerably improves coke quality, augmenting blast furnace productivity.

The green hills of Noamundi iron ore mine, about 135 km from Jamshedpur. Re-planting of excavated mine sites is an active concern at the mines just as using environment friendly technology is, at the plant.

The highly automated Sinter Plant No. 2 in Jamshedpur incorporates the Lurgi-Tata Steel technology. It is capable of sintering the extremely fine 'Blue Dust' found in Tata Steel's iron ore.
