My home place known for its largest lake in Tamilnadu, the ancient Ramar temple known for its unique idol of lord rama and seetha. Also located in our town the sanskrit college which is only second one after the one in kasi.
Our town is geographically situated in such a location that we are just 10 kms away from vedanthangal birds sanctuary the world renowned tourist centre.Also we are situated 35 kms away from mahabalipuram the land of pallavas.
Our town has numerous recreation places, we have 4 cinema theatres with natural Air conditioning because our theatres don't have side-walls.But i cant gurantee you the same A/C effect in summer because the Ac facility works only in winter season.The next place for recreation is Railway station where train never stops so we use it as park.I have forgotten to mention one place in our town that makes our town remembered by college students (Melmaruvathur). The important landmark of our town is NATESA THEATRE which all college students from our place would readily acknowledge it and accept it .
