We Lions have enough opportunities to execute need based service projects benefiting the poor & down trodden sector of the society by adoption of one & two villages by each club. Our aim "We Serve" will come true only if we contribute to the all round development of our rural folks. Various Govt. & non-govt. services agencies will join hands & work in unison towards achieving this goal.

Since eighteenth century, we are neglecting the science of Ayurved, Naturopathy & Yoga, which was developed by our ancestors out of their rich experience and research of many millenniums together.

Treatment by above therapy is imparted by developed countries world wide because it has no side effects and is economically cheaper, too. Ayurved, naturopathy and yoga play a vital role in keeping oneself fit mentally and physically. Most important amongst all is, it suits our weather conditions. Hence, propagation of such a valued science may be learnt and utilised.

Today this beautiful planet Called "Earth' is overburdened by the growth of population resulting into disturbance in the entire environment. This growing population needs accommodation which is obtained by cutting large forests around, which resulted into low rainfall, high temperature, reduction in ozone layer and reduction of greenery around. Hence, a tree plantation drive be deployed seriously and sincerely. An awareness in general public needs to be created side by side.

The huge emission of toxic gases from the automobile vehicles Is harmful for the general health, causing various dangerous diseases to the mankind. Hence, pollution control drive must be deployed by applying various methods and forces. An awareness also be induced Into the minds of the public in general.

Today, water is costlier than milk. Yes, unfortunately this is a fact. Most of the diseases are water borne. Hence pollution of water due to industries must be avoided. Drinking water pools & storage's be kept safe & uncontaminated.

Hence, character of every person of the society must necessarily be well developed for the safety of the Nation. For this, clubs have to concentrate on Bal Sanskar Shibir i.e. Lions Quest, enabling the younger generation to build strong character & right thinking

The Lions quest programme comprises of :

(I) Helping young people develop positive social attitudes and behaviours such as self confidence, responsibility, decision making capacity and ability of interaction with others.

(2) Helping young people to develop positive commitments to their families, schools, communities including commitment to lead healthy drug free life.

This programme covers family planning family welfare, venereal diseases, aids and child care. anti-natal care, sexually, transmitted diseases etc.

Population explosion may cause the third world war for want of land, water, food and other required essential amenities. Hence, family planning and welfare is an essential factor to control the population which is multiplying day in & day out. To maintain stability, we have to create awareness in the society.

Due to illiteracy, several venereal diseases are creating problems. The development of AIDS, is more fearsome than the agony of nuclear weapons.

For producing good and healthy child, facilities be availed for taking care before delivery and after delivery. Ante-natal check up camps be organised. Lions Clubs must pursue the Govt agencies for organising such service projects in their geographical area & contribute towards building a healthy & happy society.
