| GATE
is jointly organized by the IITs and the IISc and is
conducted in February every year. More details about GATE
can be had from www.iitk.ac.in/gate/ . The various tier-1
institutions offering PG courses in Electronics and
Communication Engineering are:
IISc Bangalore, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur , IIT Khargpur and IIT Guwahati (click over the name to
go their websites). All the above institutes offer
assistantship to students which is about Rs.5000/- to Rs.
7000/- per month.
A score of 99+ is

the sponsoring company's interview.
