The most blatant aim of Tantric sex is prolonged intercourse. Delaying your orgasm by using mind-control techniques is one way. Another way is to become multiorgasmic. Since sex feels nice, and often feels nicer the longer it goes on, especially for women, it seems natural that some men would want to figure out how to prolong it. One option is to spend a lot of time getting your partner off orally or manually or with a vibrator before switching to intercourse. But instead of or in addition to this, techniques have been developed by some men to approximate the multiple orgasms which women often seem to have so easily.

A multiorgasmic man, quite simply, is a man who can have two or more orgasms in a row without resting. He does not experience any significant downtime between his orgasms. A multiorgasmic man is able to maintain his erection, even though he has already had an orgasm, and continue making love from orgasm to orgasm.

This is not the same as having two or three orgasms in an afternoon of lovemaking with periodic rest or breaks in between. Some men can get six or more orgasms in a day, provided they aren't time stressed, and they don't do this every day of the week. Others can't even get a second erection. Some people stick to a pretty regular schedule - others concentrate their intensity over the weekends. But the multiorgasmic man does not need to rest on any day of the week! Such a man has physiologically mastered the difference between the pleasurable sensations of orgasm and the physical sensations of ejaculation.

"As far as most men are concerned, there is no such thing as an orgasm without ejaculations. It is a package deal, like thunder and lightening, right? Wrong. You can have an orgasm without ejaculation, and you can ejaculate without having an orgasm. which means that your capacity to repeatedly orgasm is not limited by your fairly limited capacity to repeatedly ejaculate. Learn how to separate them and you are on your way."

This is one of the secrets multiorgasmic men have learned - to unhitch orgasm from ejaculation. They have learnt to take themselves to the very brink of ejaculation, then stop and relax, allowing the rush of orgasm to sweep over them; then they do it again.

A multiorgasmic man may have a series of dry orgasms without ejaculation at all, then ejaculate explosively. Or have a series of ejaculations, each time releasing a controlled, increasingly smaller amount of ejaculate.

Dr. William Hartman, M.D, who was teaching at the California State University in the 70s, was among the first to clinically confirm the male multi-orgasmic experience. Graphs and gauges confirmed one volunteer's story that in about an hour, through masturbation, he was able to climax 16 times!

Dr. Hartman observed that the heart rates, a key indicator of orgasm, may top out at 150 during orgasm, but they never fall back to a resting state of, say, 70; they drop back to 120 and then bounce back up to 150 when they have another orgasm.

According to Dr. Hartman, the male refractory period is not merely a reloading of the gun. To fully refill the seminal ducts takes hours, sometimes even overnight. But the refractory period is shorter, suggesting it is not merely a break for refilling. In any case, without ejaculation, there is no need of a downtime.

How does one go about becoming multiorgasmic? There are several steps a man can take to prevent or minimise ejaculation, and these steps can be used separately or in conjunction to deliver the results best suited for your physiology. The process is not simple and calls for much experimentation, patience and discipline.

Wise men initially learn through masturbation, and incorporate the technique into lovemaking with a partner after they have had sufficient practice. Learn through masturbation just to the point of ejaculatory inevitability exactly how your body responds and feels just before you ejaculate. Then, while having sex, slow down or change the stimulation you are receiving so you don't go beyond this point. This can feel like a mini-orgasm, except that you don't ejaculate. After a while, continue whatever you were doing. If your partner is fucking, fellating, or masturbating you it might be valuable to work out some sort of signal (such as pulling your hips away) so you don't go over the edge.

Some specialists urge you to master the squeeze technique. Using a light touch, stimulate yourself to near orgasm, then squeeze or stop. Hold still for 10 to 20 seconds, not long enough for the erection to die out, but only till the urge to ejaculate begins to ebb, then go to work again. Learn to bring yourself to the edge of ejaculation three or four times before letting go.

Learning the squeeze technique is by far the quickest way for men to learn orgasmic control, and it can be mastered in a week or two. The squeeze technique however teaches you only to prolong the moment of your ejaculation. It is good for prolonged sex and for those struggling with the 15-minute performance barrier. However, it does not work very well in stopping ejaculation, because even though there is no seminal fluid appearing from the penis, much of it is in fact released into the bladder. You will know this because after your orgasm, you will observe a loss of erection and your urine will be a little cloudy the next time you pee (quite harmless).

There are exceptions to the squeeze technique being useless for multiorgasm, but these are physiological oddities - some men who are able to reload quickly (in less than 15 -20 minutes) but only for a couple of times more. "I squeeze the tip of my penis when I have achieved orgasm. I rest for 10-15 minutes and we fondle each other. I perform oral sex on her and we just go on and on for an hour until I have another erection. The key is slow, slow, slow."

If you are physiologically capable of quick reloads, chances are that you are still in your teens or early twenties! But there is not harm in trying even if you are older. If you have the physical and mental confidence to get an erection quickly after orgasm, you are certain to be able to sustain it right through to the next ejaculation. And don't worry about exerting your testicles too much. You can not have too much sex any more than you can flush a toilet!

By far the most effective method of engineering a series of non-ejaculatory orgasms is by contracting the PC muscle just about 3 to 5 seconds before expected ejaculation. The trick to know when to apply this is to be sensitised to the initial muscular contractions that characterise the onset of orgasm.

If done close enough to ejaculation, one may experience the muscular contractions that accompany 'contractile phase orgasms' without moving into 'expulsion phase orgasm.' Expulsion-phase orgasm is accompanied by ejaculation and erection loss, while contractile-phase orgasm is accompanied by the normal feelings of 'coming' without ejaculation and without erection loss.

Multiorgasmic men 'peak' to this contractile-phase orgasm many times over the course of a lovemaking session or masturbation session. After experiencing each orgasm, one pauses for a few seconds and then resumes whatever pleasurable stimulation one was engaged in.

Unlike the squeeze technique (which is recommended for premature ejaculators), wherein the man or the woman applies pressure on the penile shaft to kill the erection and prevent ejaculation, the PC muscle squeeze has the benefit of allowing the seminal fluids to flow back into the prostate and not into the bladder. As a result, the male refractory period is significantly reduced, and in some cases totally eliminated.

A subtle point needs to be made here. If you have an orgasm without ejaculating but also lose your erection and notice that your urine is cloudy the next time you pee, then you have experienced a retrograde ejaculation - back into the bladder. These occurrences are related to going 'too far' or clamping with the PC muscle 'too late.' Timing of when to apply the PC contractions is important, because if done too soon you will deny yourself the pleasure of the muscular orgasm and also interrupt the woman's climaxing (although you can turn yourself into a non-stop pumping machine). If done too late, you will simply ejaculate into the bladder.

Once again, it is important that you practice PC control and learn more about timing through masturbation. Pleasure yourself however you like, remembering to massage and stimulate your entire penis, your scrotum, and your perineum, including the Million-Dollar Point (a point on the perineum just forward of the anus). Continue to breathe deeply and regularly.

Make it a point to be conscious about your increasing levels of arousal: notice the tingling at the root of your penis, notice the stages of erection, notice your heartbeat rise. When you are getting near ejaculation, stop and rest (possibly breathing in deeply and holding the breath for a second or two).

Try to notice the contractions of your PC muscle and anal sphincter muscle that occur during contractile-phase orgasm, although don't be surprised if it takes some time to experience this without ejaculating. You can also try to squeeze your PC muscle around your prostate if the prostate starts contracting and you are afraid you might go over the edge. After you regain control, you can start again as many times as you like and continue for as long as you like.

If you manage to achieve contractile-phase orgasms (without ejaculating) thrice or more in one masturbation session without losing your erection, then you should pat yourself on the back: you are multi-orgasmic!

A word of caution: Abstain from other kinds of masturbation or intercourse while you are training yourself thus. You are trying to retrain your body and reverting to your old ways will erase you newfound skills.

Most multiorgasmic males a prefer a female superior position. This allows them to concentrate totally on their minds and PC muscles to stop ejaculation. A code is developed between the man and the woman which enables her to know when to reduce or halt any stimulation. This is the stage you will experience miniorgasms that feel quite amazing and also enable you to continue making love for an extended period of time

Some men, immediately after the miniorgasm, will need continued penile stimulation and warmth to stay erect. Some said their penises were painfully sensitive after non-ejaculatory orgasm, but if they reentered or were manually stimulated, they could overcome this momentary hypersensitivity and resume thrusting again in a few minutes.

Because the man needs to slow down or stop for a few seconds before controlling ejaculation, it can be a bit problematic for the woman especially if she is close to her own orgasm and would hate to be interrupted. It is often a good idea for the woman to experience an orgasm or two first (manually or orally) so that any stopping/starting is not as disturbing. This also is a good idea as intercourse is generally quite a bit more pleasurable for women after an orgasm or two. And a woman is invariably closer to her next orgasm immediately after her first orgasm.

There are a few other options. The man can stop thrusting and massage the clitoris, or withdraw and massage the vagina. A more elegant approach is to just change the thrusting style: instead of moving in and out, move up and down, driven by the pelvis.

The phenomenon of testicular elevation is of extreme physiological importance. Masters and Johnson reported that if the testes do not undergo at least partial elevation, the human male will not experience a full ejaculatory sequence. Some multiorgasmic men have learned to keep their testicles pulled down to delay ejaculation, either by holding them between their legs or by gently tugging them down with one hand, or getting her to tug them down.

Controlled breathing is one of the most important ways of maintaining concentration and relaxing the muscles. By breathing deeply and regularly (without hyperventilating) one can gain more control over orgasm, and enhance one's ability to skirt along the contractile side of things without falling over into the ejaculatory side of things.

Sit in the cross-legged lotus position of the yogi, with the back of your hand placed on the palm of the other, nestling on your lap. Relax your shoulders. Inhale though your nose and feel your lower abdomen expand at the navel area (below and around it) so that it bulges outward. Your diaphragm will also descend. Keeping your chest relaxed, exhale with some force to pull the lower abdomen back in, as if you were pulling your navel back toward your spine. Also feel your penis and testicles pull up. Repeat the exercise thirty-six times early in the morning.
