Prathi fish farm is located at neythalur near tite 10 kms from thanjavur.Its total area is 15 acres in that fresh water fish is harvested once in 8 months we have 5 types of fresh fish katla,rogue,mirgal,silver,and viraal. Fish is an important source of food protien,so eat lot of fish.it wont elevate your blood pressure or cholestrol level as compared to mutton,chicken,beef or pork.Fresh fish farming is widely done all over asia and other courntries,now the fisheries department in India has increased the subsidy and other benefits to those who are interested in starting up hatchery and fresh water shrimp and fish harvesting.There are a lot of hassels in fish harvesting,regarding the feed,water ph,and pond setup.
