Environmental
Research Laboratory, is a non governmental
R&D facility created by the Society
for the Advancement of Environmental Sciences, Indiato
harp on issues connected with science and society.The unique features of
the laboratory are to conduct:
Environmental
& Biological monitoring.
Assessment
of environment & occupational hazards in workers.
Certification
of Pharmaceuticals & Toxicity evaluation.
Environment
Impact Assessment, auditing and literacy.
Survey
of air, water, soil, noise & food contamination
Detoxification
studies and herbal remediation.
We work as a surviellence agency in water quality
monitoring for the urban and rural areas of Uttar Pradesh.
We undertake survey of soil, air , water and noise
pollution on large scale to assist the implementation of medium size and
big projects and generate environmental data for the planners
and executors and act as an implementing agency for monitoring environmental
indices.
We take up R & D and S & T projects for field
adaptation and technology transfer in the state of U.P.
We reclaimate the sodic land using non chemical methods
based on integrated biological activity and generation of employment
opportunities to rural manpower.
We undertake evaluation exercise of environmental
and S & T projects for cost-effective implementation and
provide the feedback to the funding agency about the ground assessment.
We conduct environmental mapping in areas of water,
air, soil, fertility, productivity and energy.
We conduct occupational and environmental hazard assessment
of various industries and educate the manpower.
We are a govt. approved testing laboratory for the testing of various
tests conducted by general,chemical,spectrophotometric and chromatographic
analysis.
