Sceptre of the Magi, longest lost
ages gone ~ and oh, the cost !

Spirits dancing
in the fire .....
of Wizards wise, their eyes, Elven wars for Paradise ~ and Man's desire.

everything on the ground has burned Dragons wish ~ eyes alight ..... learned
and held the Horror within their Sight the Sorcerers rage is joined by their Might !

Yon feeble wind a silent sky to touch ..... From yon clouds, looking down ignoble eyes under its stolen crown ~ surrounded by sacrifice, insufferable clods
follow the Magical Staff, aye the ancient Gods ~ too long held by darkness, to most it doth seem aye, down where more nobler things doth dream ~ and hope their chance will soon yet be seen to end this age of misery and set the lowly peasants free

the sky came the fight ~
and first blocked out all the light so fell upon the magnificent beasts drinking deep
their dreams of peace
shaft of fire, red and bright unsubtle
end, to silent starry night

Awaken and quickly arm swords are drawn and arrows fly viloence hath come to this sleepy farm
without armor, strength or half the time the cloud is gone, henches left behind they last not long, but what a crime !

One staff aglow can fell Dragons so final eyes realize, "Now go !" And some silent moans Wizards know
