INTRODUCTION:

Yoga is one of the India's wonderful gift to mankind,where it has been practised for two millenia. One of its valuble qualities is that it builds up a store of physical health through the practice of a system of exercises called asasans which keeps the body cleansed & fit. Yoga believes that exercise is essential for speedy removal of toxins , for keeping blood circulation & all internal processes functioning smoothly.

Having dealt with physical side, yoga turn to the mental. Here various breathing exercises with certain postures quieten the mind & brain, offering inner peace & an ability to face upheavals & deal with problems. Uniting both these aspects is the philosophy of yoga.

The word yoga comes from the sankrit root "yuj" meaning to join or yoke, impiling the integration of aspect of a human being from the inner most to the external.
