I have attempted here to provide some of the best resources and links to publishers in the United Kingdom and the United States, since it appears, and I am open to correction on this, that publishers from these countries are definitely interested in Indian writing in English. Even though my knowledge of the publishing industry in Australia is limited, I have provided a couple of interesting links. You'll also find listed here, websites of a few key international publishers

 

Publishers in the United Kingdom

The best sources of information on UK based publishers are:

 

• BLOOMSBURY MAGAZINE

  BloomsburyMagazine.com's Guide for Unpublished Writers

   

• The Publishers catalogue home pages: Personally I have found this to be the best source of detailed information and links to UK publishers. It contains links to almost all the known publishers in the UK.

• Pure Fiction

• The Writers' & Artists'  Year Book 2002: Published annually by A&C Black (Publishers) Ltd, (35 Bedford Row, London WC1R 4JH) is an excellent source of information. It's an expensive book but is usually available at your nearest British Council Library as a reference book.

• The Writer's Handbook 2006 : Edited by Barry Turner and published annually by Macmillan, is also an excellent source of information. Its now available in most book stores in India as an inexpensive international edition. Worth buying.

• SFWA's Writer Beware : SFWA's own literary warnings web site, on which webmistress Victoria Strauss provides clear recommendations.The Publishers catalogue home pages Personally I have found this the best source of detailed information and links to US publishers. It contains links to many of the known publishers in the US.

• The Nebraska Center for Writers (NCW) This site provides a lot of information on a variety of related subjects, as well as some useful links.

• Pure Fiction

• The Writers' and Artists' Year Book 2002 and The Writers' Handbook 2006, described earlier, provide valuable information about US publishers as well.
